Amazon India to Sell Soon-to-be-Launched Huawei P30 Pro and P30

On Tuesday, Huawei announced its most awaited range of mobiles, both Huawei P30 Pro and P30 at an event in Paris. Right after the announcement, Amazon made one announcement saying that Amazon India would be the platform to sell Huawei. It launched a page “Notify Me” even before the announcement was over. Amazon will be selling the Huawei P30 series in the Indian market.

Though this news is exciting, it is not surprising for the market experts as, since the launch of P20 and Mate P20 in the market, Huawei has been signaling that it is keenly interested in the Indian mobile market space.  The company also stated that this year it would be introducing one new model in the Indian market ‘Mate X.’

The company has not said anything about the launch date, but the announcement made by Amazon is indicating that it will be launched really soon, maybe in April only. Many things are yet to get revealed such as the price of both of the models. However, as the models are already present in the European market, we can make some guesses around the pieces in India.

In Europe, the price of the basic Huawei P30 is EUR 799 (which is worth around Rs 62,200). This range is available in a single model which comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

On the other hand, the price of the Huawei P30 Pro starts at EUR 999 (which is around Rs 77,800 in Indian currency). The basic phones in this range of mobiles would come with the 8GB/128GB variant. P30 Pro with 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB storage capacity would cost EUR 1,099 (around Rs 85,600) and EUR 1,249 (around Rs 97,300), respectively.  Noting the fact that European prices are generally higher, one can expect the lesser cost for the Indian market.

The Huawei P30 are known for their cameras. However, the P30 lacks in one area where it has poor ToF camera. Both the models of P30 supports waterdrop displays and have on-screen fingerprint sensors with the reverse charging system.
