Animoca Brands announced that its subsidiary, SPORTSPASS, has partnered with Euroleague Basketball. The partnership aims to enhance the gaming experience and deliver better fan engagement to the Gen Z fanbase. This marks a pivotal moment for Euroleague Basketball in their attempt to amplify the gamification of their portfolio.

They are collectively aiming to boost the digital ecosystem with innovative elements. This entails the aspects of in-game collectibles, rewards, and experiences, to mention a few. Animoca Brands is bridging the gap between the thrills and culture of sports in the digital sphere. Euroleague Basketball has relied on gamification for advancements. This is because the segment has served well in terms of growth. It most recently reported having more than 4.3 million fans in the ecosystem.

Alex Ferrer, the Senior Director of Marketing & Communication at Euroleague Basketball, called SPORTSPASS the leader in the Web3 industry, adding that they are delighted to partner with them to expand their gamification offerings. Alex acknowledged that the digital space is an ideal destination for them to grow their brand, considering it better supports how they want to serve young customers.

Interestingly, this is not the only partnership for Animoca Brands in 2024. It recently joined forces with OKX Wallet, Halo Wallet, and Crypto.com DeFi Wallet. The idea was to expand the Moca ID ecosystem. The marquee membership network of Animoca Brands is now working to bridge the gap between the on-chain cultural economy and Centralized Finance, also known as CeFi.

The announcement dates back to February 16, 2024, just 2 days after Animoca Brands and Param Labs partnered for the expansion plus benefits of the gaming industry. Specifically, they aim to innovatively take the said industry forward in the MENA region. The strategic partnership has been crafted to leverage each other’s unique capabilities.
