Theta Blockchain is a decentralized video streaming and delivery network, which aims to revolutionize the way users consume video content. The network released its mainnet earlier this year in March and has been growing in popularity by the day.
Interestingly, the platform has a Theta Token (THETA) as its native cryptocurrency. The difference between THETA and TFUEL is that the former is the governance token of the network which is used as the Guardian Node, while the latter is an operational token that powers on-chain operations of the protocol.
Blockchain industry across the globe is expanding its reach to various industries, and video streaming has particularly been quite receptive. Many blockchain start-ups have emerged in the past couple of years, specifically focused on online video streaming. Popular YouTube sensation, Felix Kjellberg PewDiePie, partnered with DLT based video streaming service DLive, to release exclusive paid content on the platform.
Getting it’s token listed on Binance will give Theta a big boost, given the sheer trade volumes of the Japan-based crypto exchange.
