BitTorrent Introduces Second Airdrop Worth 11,880,000,000 BTT
TRON bought BitTorrent in June 2018. It is a P2P file sharing platform. The deal was worth $126 million. Then the BitTorrent started expanding even more and came up with BTT which is a native TRX based coin. Just after launching BTT, the company announced its first airdrop for TRX holders. The first airdrop was held on 11th February 2018. During this, the company had a pan of rewarding TRX holder with 1.1 percent of the total supply or 10,890,000,000 BTT tokens.
Now, the BitTorrent has broad support in the market, and on the basis of that, the platform is launching its second airdrop. The platform is celebrating its huge success and introducing the second airdrop is a part of this. This second airdrop would be worth 11,880,000,000 BTT and would last for 12 months for Tron [TRX] users. This second airdrop would reward Tron users with 990,000,000 BTT.
BitTorrent announced this news in its Twitter post saying
“Are you ready for our second #airdrop? On March 11th at 00:00 UTC we will reward TRON $TRX holders with 990,000,000 $BTT. Learn more about our airdrop program, and the exchanges & wallets supporting it!”
It not only announced the news but also mentioned one list containing the names of wallets and exchanges where the airdrop will be available- like Binance, Huobi, Trust Wallet and Tron Wallet.
The journey had not been that smooth after the first airdrop. After the airdrop was announced on 11 February, many fake crypto-exchanges started asking users to trade their TRX token with BTT tokens. After knowing this news, the CEO of Tron and BitTorrent warned the community that his companies never asked users to trade any token for eventual airdrops.
The BitTorrent has also come up with new incentive plans for everybody connected to BitTorrent and uTorrent such as their users, and ecosystems to raise the adoption rate of the tokens and reward connected people using its protocol.
For its users, BitTorrent plans to educate them on the importance of inviting more investors and wider adoption.
