Cardano & Scantrust Launch their First Supply Chain & ACS

Cardano tweeted its announcement regarding the release of its first-of-a-kind supply chain trackability and (ACS) anti-counterfeit solution in association with Scantrust. With the Cardano-Scantrust tool brand owners would be able to completely access the trackability and focused data operations of Scantrust’s QR codes on the Cardano ecosystem for supply chain trackability and anti-counterfeit live cases.

The Cardano Foundation aims to tackle trust issues that arise when there is no supply chain transparency. Therefore, Cardano along with Scantrust has come up with a solution to prevent counterfeits and help make the supply chain of clients more transparent. Scantrust has designed and patented a proprietary process to integrate secured QR codes onto physical products. The secured QR codes comprise a secure graphic that imparts the anti-counterfeit property to these standard QR codes. Further, Scantrust has also made a provision to link the QR code-related metadata to the Cardano blockchain.

The Cardano-Scantrust application is currently being implemented in Baia’s Wine business as a prototype. Baia’s Wine, a Georgian artisan winemaker located in the Imereti Region and headed by the Abuladze sisters, is an international exporter of fine-quality wine. The Scantrust- Cardano app connects the Cardano metadata to Scantrust’s unique secured QR codes on the winemaker’s bottled products. With the help of the Cardano-Scantrust solution, the data visualization on Baia’s Wine SCM (supply chain management) will become easy.

As a debut initiative, Cardano has brought a proof-of-principle method in effect that makes it possible to use the Cardano blockchain as a public inspection platform for secure record-keeping of supply chain statistics. It facilitates validating the origin point of the product and also helps to verify the enterprises participating in the supply chain.

Frederik Gregaard, the Cardano Foundation CEO, said that he is extremely proud of their Integrations team for their dedicated synergy with Scantrust to provide a first-of-its-kind solution to access and control Cardano’s metadata.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Scantrust, Nathan Anderson, said that Scantrust’s association with Cardano will help brand owners provide their consumers with unfiltered and complete access to the product’s origin and more.

The Cardano Foundation is a Switzerland-based non-profit organization, which deals with Cardano’s cryptocurrency platform and its ecosystem. Cardano’s crypto asset is known as Ada.

Scantrust is a connected goods and packaging platform that offers solutions for several brands and creates technology as well as innovative consumer engagement options. Scantrust has solved complex international supply chain issues for Unilever, DuPont, ExxonMobil, and many more.
