China and US Initiate Clinical Trials of Coronavirus Vaccine

While the entire world is battling with the deadly coronavirus pandemic, the recent news coming in from China and the U.S is a soothing breeze for one and all. Reports have surfaced all over the internet, claiming that researchers from China and the United States of America have started clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccine. The news is seen as a path-breaking development reflecting biotech supremacy in the world.

The significant news was shared through tweets on official Twitter handles by Changpeng Zhao, the spearhead of leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, as well as by the CEO of India-based crypto exchange WazirX, Nischal Shetty. Interestingly, the crypto community has lent out a great deal of support, both monetary and moral.

On March 17, 2020, the National Medical Products Administration approved the tests for China’s first corona vaccine. The vaccine has been created by the Academy of Military Medical Sciences in Wuhan. The Chinese officials have kickstarted the clinical trials for the COVID-19 vaccine developed by researchers guided by a biowarfare expert.

Coronavirus has given birth to an upsetting situation in all the major parts of the world. In less than two weeks, the number of infected people worldwide has doubled to stand at a figure of 215,000. The number of people having a lethal infection is 214,894. The countries most severely affected by the pandemic are the ground zero country- China, Italy, Iran, Spain, and Germany. The U.S has 7,769 recorded cases of corona infected people. While the death toll figure is 8,700, the cases of recoveries worldwide are nearly 83,000.
