ConsenSys recently announced a strategic partnership with PayPal to integrate it within the MetaMask wallet. The integration will offer users a simple way to buy Ethereum with PayPal.
The well-known Web3 company released an official post to make the announcement. According to ConsenSys, MetaMask will become the first Web3-based wallet to use PayPal to conduct on-ramp trades. The integration will only be available for US users at the start, allowing them to buy Ethereum on MetaMask easily. In addition, users can also transfer their ETH tokens from PayPal to MetaMask.
As one of the leading self-custodial wallets, MetaMask boasts a massive US-based audience. Despite that, many new PayPal users looked for a MetaMask review to understand its services. The wallet allows millions of users to use apps, including NFT marketplaces, dApps, metaverse worlds, and DAOs. Lorenzo Santos, MetaMask’s Product Manager, also talked about the development.
According to Santos, the PayPal integration will let US users purchase crypto via MetaMask. It will also help them explore Web3 opportunities across the industry.
This collaboration is the latest development that aims to diversify and improve payment options in MetaMask. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use PayPal in MetaMask:-
