In a move to lure more women towards the booming market of cryptocurrency and blockchain, Perfect365, an augmented reality beauty app, has now embraced the Kin cryptocurrency. This initiative makes Perfect365, the first AR beauty app to bring cryptocurrency to a female audience.
The crypto world till now seemed to have attracted males overwhelmingly. In a recent survey conducted by Forbes, only 5% of cryptocurrency enthusiasts are women. And a recent Perfect365 user survey showed only 12% women as owning some form of cryptocurrency. This is what paved the way for this joint collaboration between Kin and Perfect365.
Commenting on the development, Dany Fishel, President of Kin, said,
“The Kin Ecosystem continues expanding across exciting categories of consumer apps, and integrating Kin into Perfect365 allows us to introduce cryptocurrency to an untapped demographic…We look forward to uncovering more unique and meaningful use cases for Kin as we work toward achieving our goal of becoming the most used cryptocurrency in the world.”
Once the integration kicks off, registered customers will be able to earn Kin within the Perfect365 app and by answering some survey questions. They could spend their Kin earnings on premium Perfect365 features. Simultaneously, Perfect365 and Kin will be working on means to introduce additional earning opportunities for its 100-million customer database.
Perfect 365 currently uses advanced face detection technology to provide the most accurate virtual makeup placement. Registered users can experiment and engage with new beauty looks, using AR within the app, from well-known beauty brands, including NYX Professional Makeup, NARS, Hot Tools, Ipsy, Sony Pictures, Anna Sui, and many others. It will soon be launching new features like allowing users to create and share makeup looks.
Sean Mao, President, and CEO of Perfect365 Inc., commented:
“From its inception, as the first platform to introduce Augmented Reality to the application of makeup, Perfect365 has focused on being a trailblazer and introducing new technologies and features that benefit its users and brand partners. Now, as the first AR beauty platform to introduce Kin’s cryptocurrency, we are bringing more value to our audience in allowing them to become active in the new economy of the future.”
Kin is presently accessible to a test group of Android users in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and India. The roll-out will remain until 100% users in these countries are able to access Kin. However, this integration is currently not accessible to users of Apple’s app store.
This partnership between Kin and Perfect365 is a true milestone, as this is the first time that the earn and spend facilities will be available live from an app that is unrelated to Kik, the creator of Kin. This definitely would become the next big thing in the crypto world with more women getting associated.
