Decentraland has announced that it will host the second edition of the much-awaited fashion event, Metaverse Fashion Week, also known by its short form, MVFW. The event is scheduled to commence on March 28 and conclude on March 31, 2023. It features several designers and a star line-up to make the show interesting.
Designers for Metaverse Fashion Week include, but are not limited to, Dolce & Gabbana, DKNY, and Vogue Singapore. The second edition will display what the future of digital fashion will look like. To make it more interesting, participants will be allowed to shop for their favorite assets. The NFT Checkout backs the payment mechanism for the event by Transak. Wearables can be bought with credit cards on computers and mobile devices alike.
MVFW2023 is centered around the theme Future Heritage. It is powered by the partnership of UNXD and Decentraland in collaboration with OVER and Spatial. The fashion event at Decentraland will establish a connection between innovation and technology while keeping traditions in mind. To reiterate, it will showcase the potential of future digital fashion.
Dr. Giovanna Graziosi Casimiro from the Decentraland Foundation has said that everyone is extremely honored to continue the legacy of the event. The Head of Metaverse Fashion Week highlighted that many fashion houses are returning for the event while also noting an increase in digitally native fashion. The goal is now to explore what the digital fashion event means for brands.
Decentraland has put out a trailer for the event, where famous fashion designers will set up virtual stores. Visitors will be able to access more event components in multiple metaverses. In Particular, global fashion brands will establish their storefronts in Decentraland’s Luxury District. The district was created by Metaverse Group.
To this extent, the usefulness of the metaverse is truly commendable. Digital wearables are now accessible to individuals from all parts of the globe. Access to Decentraland may be crucial, but it is not the only location demonstrating the future. The second edition of Metaverse Fashion Week by Decentraland is one of the upcoming metaverse events that one can surely look forward to.
Tommy Hilfiger’s daily product drops and Dolce & Gabbana’s winning designs from the Future Reward competition, among many others, will win everyone’s hearts.
A lot of wearables will be available for visitors to try on instantly. The feature will be offered by Brand New Vision, a Web3 fashion ecosystem that is being set up in collaboration with Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, DVF, Coach, Vivienne Tam, and Carolina Herrera.
Creators can get their wearables featured in the event simply by adding the tag #MVFW23 to their items once they are ready in the Builder. However, this must be done before the event begins. Selected creations will be displayed in the Essentials tab for all visitors.
