Gemini Join Black Lives Matter, will Provide Economic Support to Organizations Helping Black Community
The Black Lives Matter Campaign is doing rounds across the globe and several positives have come out of it. Celebrities from various sections of the society have come forward in support of the campaign, demanding immediate and comprehensive reforms to end the oppression of the black community and other persecuted groups.
The latest to join the list of supporters are the billionaire twins Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. Co-founder and CEO of Gemini Crypto Exchange, Tyler Winklevoss shared a link on Twitter describing the steps and measures they are taking to mark their support to the Black Lives Matter Campaign.

In the blog post on the company’s website, the twins jointly stated that they have had powerful discussions with the black employees at Gemini, and listened to the first-hand experience of discrimination faced by their community members on a daily basis. They were strong in their criticism of the racism, which was regained heat following the cruel and horrific murder of George Floyd by an officer Minneapolis City police department in broad daylight. The twins wrote,
Apart from raising their voices in support of the campaign, they have also introduced a number of economic commitments to reform the lives of the black community. Gemini will provide economic support to organizations focused on education, economic, and social justice reform of the black community. They also added that the exchange will contribute $250,000 to any organization voted and selected by their employees. Furthermore, the company will design an annual gift-matching program of up to $1,000/employee, to support the NGOs they support.
