Gucci has announced the launch of the first non-fungible token, Koda NFT, on Otherside. KodaPendant, to be specific, is a limited edition NFT that represents the glamor in digital and physical form. KodaPendant is being launched in a limited edition of 3,333 and will go on sale on April 6, 2023, at 6 p.m. EST.
When purchased, the digital version of KodaPendent undergoes a permanent visual upgrade. Another feature of the NFT is that it can be downloaded as an image.
There are a total of two cosmetic options for 3D avatars: Branded Chat Handle and Trail VFX. To make things exciting, Gucci has partnered with Yuga Labs, a team that hails the success of Bored Ape Yacht Club. Otherside: Relics by Gucci have been tied to Otherside, a metaverse game that centers around Apes.

KodaPendant is the first Relic to be launched by Gucci. Meaning, users can expect more to come following the success of the limited edition NFT. Per the announcement, holding KodaPendant will bring perks within the Otherside metaverse. However, neither of the partners have provided any specifics about the same.
The community has taken note of one benefit, which is that by the end of this year, all NFT holders will also receive a piece of jewellery in the physical form from Gucci. Every physical NFT will have a unique number inscribed on the back.
The pendant, in its physical form, will be delivered to the users through the mail. Gucci will make the deliveries to residents of the countries that are eligible for the service—Canada, the US, and select European and Gulf nations.
Gucci pendants cannot be physically delivered to those living in Asia, South America, or Africa.
The NFT can be bought with Apecoin, with every piece costing 450 APE. This roughly converts to $1,917 at the time of drafting this article.
