Jadu, the 2011-founded software company, recently expressed an interest in developing AR-based games. Jadu aims to develop a gaming metaverse called the Mirrorverse for the general public.

The metaverse will boast 3D avatars that interact with real-world scenarios, including transportation and navigation. In addition, the venture is releasing NFTs (non-fungible tokens) for the games.

It has only been a week since Jadu’s announcement of hoverboard NFTs going live for 0.222 Ethereum each. The collection features several high-profile partnerships like Lewis Hamilton, Grimes, Snoop Dogg, and more.

As NFTs are developed to be traded in the digital space, their value skyrockets after being associated with a famous personality. The Mirrorverse by Jadu will revolve around three-dimensional avatars, like Meebits. Gamers can bring the characters into the game, which requires intensive transportation.

Jadu has planned for this well, as it facilitates transportation items as well. Jadu’s debut collection of 1,111 Jetpacks went out of stock in seconds. The event reportedly amassed 9 million dollars, with one Jetpack incurring 400,000 dollars.

With the latest announcement, Jadu aims to build 5,555 more hoverboards with Grimes, Trippy, Snoop Dogg, Mimi Onuoha, and Lewis Hamilton. Of course, it goes without saying that a board with such renowned faces is bound to cause a stir.

Grimes has already worked with the NFTs industry out of the mentioned names. The artist sold 6 million dollars worth of digital art as NFTs previously. Similarly, Snoop Dogg has also worked with gaming metaverses like Sandbox before.

Despite this being Lewis Hamiton’s first encounter with the metaverse, the sportsman has previously expressed great support for arts, design, and STEM. Mimi Onuoha, the Nigerian-American researcher, also works within the field of data collection and technology.

Mimi’s collaboration with Jadu will expose the venture to the academic sector. Like Grimes, Trippy has also interacted with the NFT community, being an NFT curator. Trippy currently handles one of the biggest psychedelic art communities globally.

Asad J. Malik, Jadu’s CEO, aims to develop an Augmented Reality that is accessible and affordable. Asad’s vision with the Mirrorverse checks out because of NFTs’ integration. NFTs offer gamers complete control over their funds and in-game resources. The metaverse holds the key for the NFT industries’ future and can bring unprecedented prospects.
