Huobi Hosts First International Blockchain Forum Sanctioned by the Chinese Government

Hainan Free Trade Port International Cooperation—Forum on Digital group and Blockchain will be held on December 5–6, 2019, in the Hainan Province of China.

Huobi Group has arranged the global gathering of business leaders and decision-makers in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Information of Hainan Province and Hainan Resort Software Community at Ritz Carlton and Renaissance Hotel in Haikou.

The international event has been approved by the government of China, which will include local and foreign officials and delegates to share their perspectives about the emerging digital economy based on blockchain technology.

The event is an attempt to seek international cooperation for leveraging the incipient digital technology and also promoting the blockchain technology for economic progression.

There will be massive participation from Belt and Road nations, including representatives from Russia, Nigeria, Malaysia, Gibraltar, Argentina, and Thailand among others.

The motive behind Blockchain Forum

According to official sources from China, China ranks second after the USA in using blockchain applications with the establishment of around 32,000 blockchain companies so far.

China’s Belt and Road Initiative is a global development strategy focusing on nurturing economic collaboration across other continents, including Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and America.

The International Blockchain Forum is thus an initiative to launch the first blockchain pilot zone in Hainan province.

The Minutes of Forum Ceremony

Shen Shaoming, governor of Hainan Province and Cai Esheng, Vice-chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, will be hosting the opening ceremony.

The ministerial roundtable of Belt and Road countries will be followed by keynote speeches by Huobi founder and CEO Leon Li and Hainan top officials.

Huobi will execute the ‘Global Digital Financial Thinktank’ during the forum ceremony.

The Forum will witness the presence of global high-level dignitaries, top Chinese officials, and Huobi executives sharing their insights and perspective about the blockchain industry.

Yuan Yuming, Huobi China CEO, said, “The forum is an opportunity to demonstrate to business and government leaders opportunities for collaborations using our cutting edge technology and infrastructure.”

Hu Tao, Head of Hainan Ecological Software Park, commented that apart from the panel discussions on the opportunities in blockchain technology and the challenges involved, “The highlight of the event will be the signing ceremony between Chinese blockchain enterprises and representatives from Belt and Road nations.”
