Ingenico Teams Up With Pundi X to Enable Crypto Payments Worldwide

Ingenico Group, which provides seamless solutions for in-store, online, and mobile commercial transactions, will run blockchain-based Fintech Pundi X’s software XPOS on its POS (Point of Sale) APOS A8 devices; to enable payments in cryptocurrency.

Following these partnership merchants across the world that use Ingenico’s Android-based POS solution, APOS A8 with the XPOS module can accept payments in cryptocurrencies, including ETH, BTC, BNB, XEM, DGX, DAI, NPXS, NPXSXEM, FX, QTUM, ENQ, KNC, and KCS. Customers who wish to make payments in cryptocurrency can use either the XWallet mobile app or XPASS card, which is a physical card used to make payments in multiple cryptocurrencies.

As all the payments are embedded on the blockchain, they are very secure. Moreover, the records are immutable and cannot be erased by anyone. As there are no banks or credit card companies involved, transaction costs will be lower, and transactions will be faster.

Co-founder and CEO of Pundi X, Zac Cheah, said,

Pundi X can now leverage the APOS A8, the most widely sold Android payment device in the world, and benefit from Ingenico global support in a number of key markets.

Asia Pacific of Ingenico Group’s Senior VP, Marcus Low, said,

This partnership is a great way to prepare for the future of payments and introduce cryptocurrency as a reliable payment option to our clients and customers worldwide.
