Jack Ma and Alibaba Foundation Establish Global MediXchange

With the support of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence and Alibaba Health, Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation have come together to establish the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, the Global MediXchange for fighting against Covid-19. 

The platform is established to ease communication and collaboration across the borders, as well as help them provide the required computer-related facilities and data intelligence to sanction significant research endeavors. 

This platform will provide the best medical teams along with the required communication channels that will enable the team to share practical experience and information on how to combat the coronavirus outbreak.

The Handbook of Experiences  

The Zhejiang University School of Medicine by far in the past 50 days has treated around 104 patients tested positive with coronavirus. To share their experiences and prevention treatments of what they have dealt with, the experts have published a Handbook of Covid-19 on how to avert and handle the disease. The handbook comprises extensive guidelines and best enactments of treatment by China’s top experts to help healthcare professionals around the world to cope up with Covid-19. 

How Does It Work?

The handbook primarily talks about how can the medical institutions and organizations can reduce the cost of treatment and on the contrary maximize the effect and measures taken to keep the coronavirus outbreak in control. Along with that, the handbook also talks about why there is a need for hospitals and healthcare organizations to have command centers when they come across an emergency on a larger scale which is briefly explained in the context of Covid-19.

A Platform That Helps The Experts Share Ideas   

Apart from the launch of the handbook, the Alibaba Foundation and the Zhejiang University collaborated to initiate a move to connect medical professionals from around the world with their DingTalk messaging platform. This Medical Expert Communication Platform was launched to help the medical experts around the world share resources and information as per their experience and know-how, which can further empower other medical teams to combat the Covid-19 emergency. 

This platform offers to benefit the medical experts around the world for instant communication worldwide with the support of AI-powered real-time translation for 11 languages, remote video conferencing capabilities and several other features that are designed to help the medical experts in providing quality treatment.  

The Jack Ma foundation has been persistently making efforts to help communities and countries around the world. Lastly, they also donated 20,000 test kits, 100,000 masks, and 1,000 medical use protective suits and face shields to 54 African countries. 

The Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation believe that the current crisis is more difficult and long-lasting than it was speculated to be. The world should make a constant effort to be prepared as we are all the members of the global family it will irresponsible of us if we just sit and panic and fail to act on how to fight the pandemic.
