Justin Sun Finally Meets Warren Buffett for the Infamous Charity Lunch

Warren Buffet Charity Lunch successfully done

One of the highlights of the crypto industry for the year 2019 was the infamous Power of One Lunch organized by TRON CEO Justin Sun. The lunch, which was to happen with investment tycoon and Berkshire Hathaway boss Warren Buffett, was abruptly canceled after reports that Sun was held in China by the local authorities. This created a big stir in the industry, and people came thrashing down on the young entrepreneur for over-publicizing things.

Recently, in a press release, Justin Sun informed that he had finally had the lunch with Buffett last month, albeit in an “under-the-radar” event. As per a report published in Cointelegraph, Justin Sun met Warren Buffett for the charity lunch on January 23, in a country club in Nebraska. Sun also tweeted on Thursday,

Along with Justin Sun, other major crypto figures to attend the high-profile charity lunch included Litecoin founder Charlie Lee, Huobi Global CFO Chris Lee, Binance Charity chief Helen Hai, and eToro CEO Yoni Assia. The billionaire investors organize the event every year via a charity bid, and Sun had reportedly paid over $4.5 million to book his seat with Warren Buffett. Post lunch, Sun said,

“It was really an honor and I’m grateful for Mr. Buffett’s dinner, wisdom, and vision. I’ll always remember his kindness and support, and will take Mr. Buffett’s advice and guidance to make Tron a better ecosystem, business with all the partners in the blockchain space and beyond.”

Sun has also revealed that he will be sharing Buffett’s viewpoint regarding blockchain and investments on February 7, at 5:00 PM. Apparently, this is going to be a major turnaround for the crypto space.

Interestingly, Warren Buffett has been one of the fiercest critics of Bitcoin and crypto among the elites. He previously made some remarks like saying BTC is no better than the button of his suit or comparing it to rat poison. Sun also faced some backlash when he invited Binance chief Changpeng Zhao, who said that the lunch was being organized by “rat poison” money.
