Multi-network enterprise blockchain solutions network Komodo announced on Monday that it has added support for QRC20 on its AtomicDEX Core Engine. In the official tweet, it said that Qtum can now use AtomicDEX engine for DEX, dApps, and wallet functions. Komodo further added that the collaboration was the first of its kind, and will provide a cross-chain and cross-protocol bridge.

In the official announcement on its website, Komodo stated that initially, support for two QRC20 based tokens will be added on the AtomicDEX Pro and AtomicDEX Mobile platforms. The QTUM token was listed on AtomicDEX Mobile in June of last year, and on AtomicDEX Pro in June 2020.
Commenting on the collaboration, Komodo CTO, Kadan Stadelmann said that Qtum is a new protocol integration, for which the developers had to extend the AtomicDEX Core Engine for interoperability. Kadan said,
Qtum aims to bridge the gap between Bitcoin and Ethereum communities, and connect the blockchain space to the real world. Qtum Co-founder, Jordan Earls stated that the integration has come at the best time for their ecosystem. Earls further said that the integration with AtomicDEX and atomic swap technology will complement the infrastructure being built around DeFi. And given the growing demand for DeFi applications, Qtum and Komodo will reap benefits of the collaboration sooner than later.
