Kraken eyes Europe business boost, plans to acquire BCM

Kraken recently announced its decision to acquire Coin Meester BV in the Netherlands. The Dutch crypto broker will help Kraken expand its reach in Europe.

BCM, or Coin Meester BV, was founded back in 2017, becoming one of the most well-reputed crypto brokers in the Netherlands. Since then, the company has been providing services to stake, buy, and sell crypto. Its services cover 170+ cryptocurrencies with strong local funding rails.

With the proposed acquisition, Kraken will strengthen its presence across the Netherlands. At the same time, BCM clients will gain access to Kraken’s extensive product offering. That is not all, as BCM customers will also access 24×7 live support, unmatched security, and market-leading liquidity.

Given the stature BCM has established in the Netherlands, the latest news has attracted several crypto enthusiasts. Many of them looked for an extensive Kraken review to assess how the platform works. Such reviews help customers comprehend why the partnership will benefit them.

David Ripley, the CEO of Kraken, also commented on the latest situation. According to Ripley, the Netherlands boasts one of the most advanced economies in the world. It also hosts a well-established culture of crypto adoption and innovation.

Such properties make the region an ideal spot for Kraken to expand its European influence. With the acquisition, BCM will help Kraken gain a sizable presence in the Dutch market, according to Ripley.

Mitchell Zandwijken, the CEO and co-founder of BCM, also talked about the acquisition. Zandwijken stated that BCM was founded to make crypto accessible to every user. As the pioneer in the field, Kraken has a successful track record spanning 10+ years.

The integration will certainly assist BCM customers in exploring more crypto services, added the CEO. No date regarding the closing of the acquisition has been made till now. Similarly, the parties didn’t disclose any financial information about the transactions. However, crypto communities in the region are already showing enthusiasm regarding the acquisition.
