KT Corp Join Hands With China Mobile Communication Corp for 5G Services

Having established itself as one of South Korea’s leading telecommunication service providing firm, KT Corp. has broken the news about it working jointly with China Mobile Communication Corp. to explore and facilitate 5G roaming services in the country. The integration between the two leading corporations will also work to strengthen the blockchain ecosystem.

On Thursday, KT Corp. affirmed that it should be delivering 5G roaming services in China by the end of this month using the excellence of China Mobile’s network. Earlier in May this year, both KT Corp. and China Mobile Communication Corp. demonstrated their 5G roaming operations.

KT Corp. stated that its highly-anticipated and popular video group chat service “Narle” worked efficiently well on China Mobile’s 5G network. Interestingly, Narle allows users to enjoy video chatting with a maximum of eight people simultaneously. According to the latest announcement made by the company officials, the 5G roaming services will be offered only via devices that lend support to frequency bands of China Mobile network.

The reports further stated that KT Corp. and China Mobile network have also decided to put their joint efforts in commercializing a blockchain-supported real-time roaming charge system branded by the name of “B.Link.” With the launch of the new blockchain solution, the two firms aim to bring down the cost of investments and time as the product can facilitate self-analysis of roaming data from the two carriers and process them on a real-time basis.
