Microsoft Innovation Center Joins Hands With æternity to Support Blockchain Startups in Malta

æternity, the next-generation, open-source blockchain, recently announced a coalition with MIC, the Microsoft Innovation Center, in order to fuel the expansion of the blockchain technology across Malta. In the light of this partnership, AE VENTURES, æternity’s investment arm, along with Microsoft, is to conduct regular blockchain events across Malta with an aim to foster the country’s involvement in the blockchain businesses.

Blockchain intrinsically has the potential to disrupt several economies and businesses, aiding the distribution of wealth and enforcing transparency of the power structures.

In these circumstances, æternity intends to solve scalability, economic, and security issues. It is also known for its user-friendly interface for gaining access to smart contracts over the network.  AE Venture, the investment firm offering initial funding as well as advisory backing for prominent blockchain projects runs æternity Starfleet, which is an exhaustive global acceleration program focused over seed-stage startups specializing in blockchain.

Mary Downing, Manager of Microsoft Innovation Center, said,

After all the hype there has been about blockchain in recent years, now is the time to demystify all the doubts there could still be about this technology. We are very proud to have æternity on board as our second Microsoft Innovation Center partners. Having æternity promote and nurture blockchain startups from the Microsoft Innovation Center will not only bring a more flexible development of new technology but will also be an opportunity to promote blockchain as a tangible technology that brings real value.

An intensive training session entrenched across a week is to be conducted by MIS for blockchain startups.

The global accelerator program, æternity Starfleet, surveyed over 100 startups based on blockchain from all over the world, inviting 15 of them as participants of the program. The program starts on November 4th, 2019.

This intensive program training will offer high-quality education, content, lessons, along with workshops headed by smart industry professionals. It is explicitly designed to offer the budding blockchain startups a sea of information and practical knowledge that will be needed to succeed in this business as well as in product development.

It also delivers a deeper analysis of æternity blockchain, with all its features as well as programming languages explained.

After the Global Starfleet acceleration program, ten participants will be chosen in an extra 5-week long mentorship. It will be summoned with a Demo session where the chosen teams are awarded an investment proposal worth $100,000 USD in the form of AE tokens. It will also be accompanied by an extra 6-month mentorship as well as acceleration training. A huge portfolio of ambassadors, developers, experts, mentors, investors, as well as events of the æternity community will be accessible to this startup.

Jarek Bialek of AE Ventures, said,

We are excited to be partnering with the Microsoft Innovation Center and we see this as the next step in æternity’s global policy. Malta is a great place for developing blockchain ideas and bringing them to life, this is why we believe that more Starfleet alumni will choose to incorporate their companies here.
