NEO Token has entered into a partnership with video-based augmented reality company Vibe, as per an announcement jointly made by Vibe and NEO a blog post on Medium. Vibe creates video-based holographic images for AR/VR games. Starting from as early as September, users will be able to play the Vibe or Die online game using NEO tokens, in a pool of up to $5,000.
As per the blog, the two companies started working on this partnership way back in 2017, taking tremendous effort before finally unveiling their collaboration. The blog further read,
The partnership between VIBE & NEO will see both NEO & GAS integrated onto the VIBENet chain. VIBENet is a layer 2 solution built for the next era of gaming. VIBENet is able to facilitate instant atomic micro-transactions with no gas fees, a necessary component for the next era of blockchain gaming.
To begin with, the collaboration will see NEO getting integrated to the VR game VIBE or DIE, which is a first-person shooter game, similar to Medal of Honour and IGI. The game is built on the VIBENet Chain, and consists of 6 gameplay maps, with a game mode Free for All Deathmatch.
There has been a long discussion for the amalgamation of blockchain-crypto and other modern technologies like Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Internet of Things. A partnership of NEO and Vibe, though not first of its kind, is quite important for the industry.
