Newegg Inc. is a leading online retailer of consumer electronic items and computer hardware in California. The company has been showing new ways of hope to the e-commerce industry ever since its inception, and has been true as its name, “New-egg,” where “egg” symbolizes “new life with unbound potential.”
Even after having a setback in 2019, as it was delisted from the price matching policy by Best Buy, the company still continued its operations and gained sustainable growth amidst tough situations of the global pandemic.
Newegg has not only earned a paramount reputation for offering hi-tech electronic products to consumers, but it has also excelled in several other fields; its engagement in esports with the entertainment company Allied Esports and the leading e-commerce partner HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, has been in news headlines for quite sometimes.
In June 2019, Newegg and Allied Esports together co-hosted the much-awaited Triple Crown Royale at the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas. Newegg also offers services to third-party logistics (3PL) clients and other e-commerce companies, manufacturing, logistics, clerical, and supply chain management industries.
Apart from this, Newegg also keeps in mind a social responsibility towards citizens, and thus it has announced one of its highly researched products – the COVID 19 Vaccine Tracker.
COVID 19 Vaccine Tracker
Without keeping people waiting for too long for the COVID-19 vaccines to be available in the US market, two different vaccines, one by Pfizer-BioNTech and the other by Moderna, have been authorized to initiate widespread distribution in the US and its territories.
The first shots were given on Dec. 14, 2020, and the next shots will be ready in a few weeks. But keeping track of the vaccine distribution in the US, as to how many people already received the first shot and how many are yet to receive them is crucial.
To help the states to keep a quick track, Newegg has launched a COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker, which will give all the information about the COVID-19 vaccine distribution process in the US.
The COVID-19 vaccine tracker will collect information about the vaccine distribution process from each country’s individual COVID-19 vaccination dashboards where they post regular updates. These updates will then be rechecked by journalists who will reach out directly to the states to confirm the information.
Then this information will be updated to the database of the vaccine tracker along with a detailed statistic by which it would be easier for people to understand the present scenario. Then there will be updated detailed maps of the places in the database of the tracker to let people know the exact places and the number of people there, where the doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
The tracker will also provide links to published reports on the vaccine candidates’ safety/immunogenicity and efficacy data. It will include information on the key attributes of each vaccine candidate.
As of February 2021, around 9.37% of the US people have received the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, and about 37.67% of the vaccines distributed have not been used yet.
