Orbiter Finance recently announced the integration of Linea mainnet into the platform. The news was shared on the official Twitter account of Orbiter Finance.
The tweet stated that Orbiter Finance had waived trading fees to celebrate the integration. Other than this, the platform is now allowing users to transfer up to 5 ETH between Ethereum mainnet.
Above all, Orbiter Finance has ensured users that the transaction finality between the mainnets will be minimal. Users should note that the trading fee is only zero for the senders.
On the other hand, the withholding fee is still prepaid for the transactions. It is done to ensure that the Maker pays the gas fee for the designated network transfer.
The past couple of months have been hectic for Orbiter Finance. The platform encountered an attack on its official Discord server back in June. According to reports, the breach led to theft and a fraudulent airdrop.
The attack resulted in a massive financial loss, and questions were raised about the platform’s security. Orbiter Finance took assistance from CertiK Alert, a well-known blockchain security and analytics platform, for the case.
Orbiter Finance users were informed of the attack, and a notice was issued to be cautious about any links related to the platform. Shortly after the attack, the perpetrators launched a phony token and an airdrop event.
However, Orbiter Finance was quick to shoot down the fake airdrop event via social media. It has only been a month since the attack, but the platform has started regaining trust among users.
Fortunately, the breach only resulted in a theft of 213k dollars, an amount Orbiter Finance is capable of earning back. Given the circumstances the platform is facing, the latest integration can be a lifesaver for them.
Integrating a popular mainnet into the platform and offering new trading routes is a huge move to assist Orbiter Finance in maintaining credibility in the market.
