Pobjoy Mint’s Fourth Penguin Coin in 2018 Series is Finally Available

In a recent news story about Pobjoy Mint is, a privately-held company-sector mint located in Surrey, England which produces commemorative coins, medal, tokens, and bullion. The fourth of five coins in the Pobjoy Mint’s 2018 Penguin series is now available with the coin showcases the Magellanic penguin.

The company’s mint manufacturers circulating currency for some British Overseas Territories and sovereign countries including Sierra Leone and Vanuatu.

Amid this, the series’ five 50-penny coins displaying the five breeds of penguin live in the Falkland Islands at some point during the course of the year.

Since the Magellanic penguin is usually a summer resident of the Falkland Islands that arrive to breed in early September each year when they return to the same hollow they left the earlier.

It is obvious that adults with certain features like having black and white bands on their heads, neck, and breast. Whereas the breed is normal in size with black backs and white abdomens. They also display two black bands over their chests with the lower band shaped like an upside-down horseshoe.

The fourth coin is believed to have certain features like a headshot of a Magellanic penguin, however, looking in color that highlights the specific identity while making circular markings on their heads.

The complement of the coin is confined up to the exclusive Pobjoy Mint effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

With the weighs having 8 grams and measures 27.3 millimeters in diameter, the coin looks attractive. Further, it has a mintage limit of 7,500 pieces and retails for $14.95. The folder costs that come around an additional $7.
