Ripple vs Litecoin: Intraday Price of LTC Shows a Surge, While XRP Shows a Decline Despite Bullishness

The recent Bitcoin Bull Run and the announcement regarding the collaboration of Ripple and MoneyGram are two major factors behind XRP’s price rally. The third largest cryptocurrency was hovering between $0.40 and $0.41 in the past week, which has now witnessed price spikes as high as $0.4545 recently.

On the other hand, Litecoin also went through a price surge over the last weekend, when it reached as high as $138.79. LTC had maintained its price range above a support level of $130 till yesterday after which it tumbled to $129.

XRP price yesterday struggled with bears and saw two major price plunges. The initial price fall caused it to drop to $0.43 from $0.44. After holding at the price point of $0.43, it saw a sharp fall at 0.41 USD breaking its major support at $0.42. With a steady upward correction, XRP maintained its price level above $0.42 whole day with yesterday’s closing price at $0.4288. Today. XRP has shown a moderately bullish approach and is trading above $0.4300.

A bit similar price trend is traced by Litecoin as it had also tumbled to $129.52, its 24-hour low price mark, with a gradual drop. After a sharp rebound at $136.55, it has been trading above $131 till now. However, it had a notable price drop at $131.01, which took place at the same time as XRP’s price drop at $0.4180. With a price recovery, yesterday LTC had its closing price at $135.16.

Both the cryptocurrencies also witnessed a price rise today, as shown in the highlighted part where LTC had its 24-hour high price of $139.14. In the last 24 hours, Litecoin has surged to 3.75%, while Ripple has decreased to 3.51%.

Conclusion:

Both the currencies are currently indicating further price gains. As XRP has been holding above $0.4300 it is expected to surge higher. It may see resistance prices at $0.4417 and $0.4676. At $0.4041 and $0.393, XRP can see support if it moves downward. Meanwhile, Litecoin is likely to see resistance levels at 139.78 and 143.64 while having support levels at $131.30 and $127.44.
