Smoothie recently announced raising over $1.2 million to build a product hunt for Web3. Matt Kim, Smoothie’s co-founder, tweeted about the funding to inform users worldwide.

The Twitter thread by Matt Kim shed light on several important factors about the platform. As a discover-to-earn awards platform designed for Web3-based projects, Smoothie has been gaining gradual prominence.

According to the official tweets, the platform will share weekly updates about Web3 projects. It will also allow users to provide direct feedback with upvote functionality to choose their favorites. The projects with the most upvotes will be displayed on the social media handles.

Every active upvoter will be rewarded with Smoothie’s PoD (Proof-of-Discovery) points or reputation metric. The more points users earn, the more weight their upvoting gets.

Emma Cui, LongHash Ventures’ CEO, also discussed recent developments. As per the CEO, now is the time to develop and choose companies users interact with.

Creating communities like the one developed by Smoothie will certainly boost upcoming Web3 projects. At the same time, it will unlock next-gen creator monetization tools, added Emma Cui.

Smoothie also mentioned several startups that participated in the event. Besides the participants, seven investors were also revealed by the platform. These names included LongHash VC, Cyber Connect HQ, Sneaky Ventures, and more.

Smoothie will deploy the acquired funds to develop products and grow its reach. The platform also invited more Web3 startups to experience its services and expand their prospects.
