Snoop Dogg Launches NFT Collection on Cardano in Collaboration with Clay Nation
Snoop Dogg is a well-known personality in the world of Hip Hop. Considered an epitome of West Coast Hip Hop Culture, Snoop Dogg has made his place in the music industry. His original name was Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. Snoop Dogg started his music career in 1992.
Since the beginning of his career, he has earned 17 Grammy nominations without a single win. The contributions of Snoop Dogg to the music industry have been as a rapper and a songwriter. He has now expanded his Crypto portfolio with the launch of an NFT collection.
Snoop Dogg Launches An NFT Collaboration
Snoop Dogg has collaborated with Clay Nation to launch an NFT collection on the Cardano Blockchain. The NFT collection includes unreleased music, collectibles, and plots of Clay Nation.
Snoop Dogg has also become the first celebrity to openly mark the shift from Ethereum Blockchain to Cardano Blockchain.
The news was broken out to the community by Clay Nation through their official Twitter handle. It followed days after Snoop Dogg had expressed his interest in creating a guide on how to get involved in cryptocurrency.
Marcus Sotiriou, an Analyst at GlobalBlock, called the jump from Ethereum blockchain to Cardano blockchain remarkable. He added that NFTs were about finding an identity, and Snoop Dogg seems to be doing precisely that by venturing into the NFT marketplace.
Snoop Dogg has had his fair share of successful investments in the past. Reddit, a social media platform, had Snoop Dogg backing it most of the time. He had also invested his finance in Robinhood, a retail trading platform.
Other investments by Snoop Dogg are Moon Pay and Yuga Labs.
Moon Pay is a revolution that allows users to buy cryptocurrency directly through their Debit or Credit cards. Yuga Labs is the team behind the hype of Bored Ape yacht Club.
Even though Snoop Dogg is the first celebrity to jump the ship to the Cardano blockchain, many believe it was long overdue because of its cheaper fee and continuous development. Ethereum blockchain holds a dominant hand in the industry; however, many could soon follow the trend of shifting their base to other blockchain networks.
The recent collaboration is one of the many other Crypto projects that have been explored by Snoop Dogg in the current year, in addition to various tech investments.
Clay Nation perfectly complements what Snoop Dogg offers to the collaboration. Clay Nation is a set of 10,000 NFT characters, and the digital avatars have been drawn out of clay. As of now, the NFT collection is all sold.
