Square Payments Firm to Recruit New Engineers and Designers for Cryptocurrency Based Project, Seeks to Pay them in Bitcoin

Payments startup company Square aims at recruiting several engineers and designers and wants them to work on their cryptocurrency projects, CEO of both Square and Twitter on March 20, Jack Dorsey tweets about the job opportunity in the world of cryptocurrency and the news.

Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, revealed on Wednesday evening that Square is planning to recruit three to four engineers and one designer to work full-time on open source projects and contribute to the cryptocurrency or bitcoin ecosystem. However, Spokesperson of Square said that there is no further information to be shared beside the tweets.

Jack Dorsey also mentioned,

“the new square employees will have the opportunity to be paid in Bitcoin, they can work from anyplace and needs to report me directly.”

Each and every work will be open source, and the new employees should not focus on their own commercial interest in the Square rather than focussing on interests that are best suitable for the crypto community. Jack Dorsey has been an active supporter of bitcoin for a long time. He expects that the bitcoin will be the only single currency of the internet and single native currency of the world in the future.

Dorsey added in the tweet on Wednesday that cryptocurrency ecosystem must be improved. He further stated,

“Square has taken in excess from the open source community to bring us here. We have not returned enough to them, and this is a small technique of returning them back, and one who is aligned with our border interests which is a more convenient and accessible global financial system for the internet.”

Dorsey had earlier announced about his idea to support the Lightning network which is a layer solution that is designed to simplify small, fast transactions. Cash app of Square allows users to buy and sell bitcoin and in recent times, Dorsey has mentioned about the need to have their own currency.

Jack Dorsey mentioned in a tweet that this will be the foremost open source initiative of the Square which is free of our business goals. The new employees will focus completely on what’s good for the community. Every work will be open source and free.

Jack Dorsey wants cryptocurrency to succeed and should not be a surprise. At the 2018 Consensus conference, he said,

“The internet should have a native currency and it will have one and I don’t know whether it will be bitcoin or something else. I hope it will be. I am a great supporter and a fan of crypto.”

Now, only a few lucky employees will have the opportunity to work with Dorsey and help him to make his dream into reality by working closely with Dorsey. However, the cryptocurrency world is indeed magical.
