Steam Announces Sale of Capcom Fighting Collection

The official Twitter handle of Steam announced the Capcom Fighting collection on Friday. Capcom fans can save up to 84% with their favorite titles in the summer sale. The new package brings in ten popular games from Capcom’s arcade collection.

Capcom, the Japanese video game development firm, was founded in 1979 in Osaka, Japan. Over the years, the firm has built one of the most enriching and commercially successful portfolios of all time for video games. Their list of top picks comprises titles like Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, Marvel vs. Capcom, and Ace Attorney.

The new sale opportunity published on Steam brings 10 of Capcom’s best-selling arcade games to users for a discounted price. The package will bring the action-packed 2D, puzzle, adventure, fighting, single-player and multiplayer games from the 80s and 90s for a nostalgic ride.

This bulk purchase brings a variety of titles from fan-favorite series from Capcom like Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Cyberbots. Moreover, the package also includes Red Earth’s first home console port. These games have been optimized for current platforms and will support online play.

With a third-party EULA agreement, the collection brings several other perks and support, including Online PvP, Split Screen PvP, Partial Controller Support, Remote Play Together, and Steam Cards. The game interface supports 12 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and LATAM Spanish.

Players can access several exclusive contents from the in-game museum as an early access bonus. It includes 5 illustrations by Chisato Mita, Yuri Kataiwa, Ryuji Higurashi, Tamio, and SAKUTAMO. In addition to that, there will be a collection of 18 remixed music tracks from CAP-JAMS (8 tracks), Knxwledge (6 tracks), and Mndsgn (1 track), KEIZOmachine (1 track), Olive Oil (1 track), and Matt Cab (1 track).

The collection also allows access to the Second Capcom Arcade stadium with Three Wonders Set. The Capcom Arcade is made with authentic cabinets to play, and the Arcade will soon be launched with an additional title called Three Wonders.

The bonus features will be offered only to buyers who purchase by 23:59 on Friday, September 30, 2022. The collection is rated PEGI 16 owing to the violent depictions in the games.
