Recently, it partnered with Samsung to launch decentralized application XWallet for the latter's smartphone devices, which was one of the six such dapps the Korean giant launched. Given Samsung’s big mammoth user base and the rise of mobile-based payments, adoption of crypto could reach new heights. Commenting on the development, Pundi X CEO and co-founder Zac Cheah said, “Our mission of making blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies accessible to everyone has just taken a huge leap forward thanks to our partnership with VeriFone. With our XPOS software in VeriFone’s POS terminals, consumers will be able to experience safer and more seamless transactions using all major cryptocurrencies.” In the official press release, Pundi X stated that it completed the integration of its XPOS payments module with VeriFone's android powered X990 PoS device. This will allow merchants across the globe to process crypto payments, along with traditional ones, using the same XPOS integrated X990. VeriFone Asia Pacific President, Yiannos Papadopoulos said, “We're excited to work with Pundi X in integrating its innovative technology within our devices.
