Sapphire, the First Confidential EVM ParaTime, recently went live on the Oasis Foundation Testnet. It is following the successful release of the original EVM ParaTime called Emerald.

Oasis runs a modular framework that separates smart contract execution and consensus into the ParaTime Layer and Consensus Layer. The former enables the development of different runtimes, offering dynamic computing ecosystems where developers can operate.

Sapphire will be the first of its nature confidential ParaTime. It will assist the solidity developers in leveraging the unique privacy-securing technology available at Oasis due to its development architecture.

The Oasis team understands the value of privacy in Web3 and how it can assist privacy-centric dApps. Given the surging demand for Web3, next-gen web users will only rely on applications capable of achieving such feats.

Possessing an in-depth assessment of the EVM developer domain allowed Oasis to see that most Solidity developers lack the options to build privacy-centric apps. That is why the network has undertaken the latest endeavor.

With the market shifting to Web3, data ownership and privacy are focal points, and Oasis has added them to its key value propositions while enabling privacy-enabled runtimes.

A great example of the same would be the Cipher ParaTime. Oasis aims to attract even more Solidity developers into its ecosystem, especially those seeking privacy-centric dApps for Web3.

Developers can use Sapphire to access top-notch privacy-preserving technology, which will help them create a reliable data economy that needs to be established for better user safety. There is no news about Sapphire’s release on the Oasis Mainnet.
