The Sandbox partners with Warner Music Group to launch Breakin’ B.I.G.

The Sandbox and Warner Music Group have reached an agreement to launch “Breakin’ B.I.G.,” an unprecedented experience for hip-hop enthusiasts. The game was conceptualized and inspired by video games from the 1990s. The storyline of Breakin’ B.I.G. centers on a region wholly governed by the Notorious B.I.G..

Playing the new game is like taking a trip down memory lane; it pays tribute to Biggie’s beloved Brooklyn roots and the establishment of Junior M.A.F.I.A., all while celebrating the era when he first became airborne and introducing the G.O.A.T. to modern music lovers.

Other interesting initiatives will be unveiled in December, including the Breakin’ B.I.G. experience, a special avatar collection, and the renovated Warner Music Group social environment. Breakin’ B.I.G. invites players to explore a 2D gallery-style arena based on the musical scene in Brooklyn in the 1990s. The gamers are given the option to become budding rapper who is inspired by Biggie and follows in his footsteps. Gamers will be able to connect with Biggie and other entities in order to improve Brooklyn communities and promote Biggie in a significant way.

According to the COO and co-founder of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget, the infamous B.I.G. is known to be one of the most impressive hip-hop artists ever. The game will help the present generation of hip-hop enthusiasts and provide exposure to the wonderful Brooklyn era of the 90s.

According to Elliot Osagie, who is both the founder and CEO of Willingie and Benin City as well as the chief strategy officer of the Notorious B.I.G. estate, the era of the 1990s can be compared to the 1920s, when Biggie utterly dominated the scene. Bringing Biggie’s 90s-style side-scrolling game, starring his music, to an innovative Web3 platform ensures that his world will continue to be enjoyed.

A partnership was established between The Sandbox and Warner Music Group at the start of 2022. The objective of this partnership was to create a music-oriented arena in The Sandbox and showcase WMG’s roster of artists, including Sueco, whose dual personality traits became highly sought after in 2022. This marks The Sandbox’s inaugural foray into the realm of music.
