Blockchain-based gaming network WINk, backed by TRON Foundation, has obtained Gaming Curacao License, the company has informed. While this might just be a small step, it could prove to be a revolutionary step for the digital blockchain gaming industry. Founder and CEO of TRON, and WINk promoter, Justin Sun said that this would be a ‘giant leap’ for the blockchain gaming industry.

The online gaming industry is one of the fastest-growing internet sectors, and introduction of blockchain in the sector has boosted growth multi-fold. While there are several established players fighting for their share in the pie, WINk has had solid backing from formidable crypto players like Justin Sun. In the official announcement via a Medium post, WINk said it holds a sublicense with Gaming Curacao company under License no 365/JAZ Sub-License GLH-OCCHKTW0707282019 as of 31st day of July 2019.
The island country of Curacao has been one of the most preferred destinations for online gaming companies to park their operations. The country has played a pivotal role in the e-gaming industry for more than two decades. Factors such as progressive legislative system, political stability, high-quality telecom facilities, and extremely strong financial services industry have made Curacao a potent ground for e-gaming companies.
