VeChain Invited by Seeds & Chips’ Global Summit For the Second Time as a Speaker

As per the latest announcement, Seeds and Chips has invited the VeChain Foundation to their Global Food Innovation Summit for the second time in a row as one of the speakers. The Summit is going to begin on 3rd September and conclude on 5th September 2019 at Melbourne, Australia. VeChain has affirmed its Summit attendance as well through an official Twitter post, dated 28th August 2019, followed by a detailed Medium blog post.

As per the blog post & VeChain News, Sarah Nabaa, VeChain’s General Manager for the Australasia and SE Asia region, is going to grace the global event as a speaker. Nabaa will be sharing the potential, as well as blockchain technology’s practical applications, with regards to the food business. Nabaa will be a part of the discussion panel titled “Tracing our food system from farm to fork” alongside David Inderias, Fresh Supply Co’s Co-Founder and CEO; Alan Lai, ProfilePrint’s Executive Director and Co-Founder; and Rachel Gabato, Ripe.IO’s COO. Together, the panel will be discussing how the technology of blockchain can be leveraged for creating a more trustworthy and transparent chain for food supply.

It is the second time that VeChain will be attending Seeds and Chips’ Summit to enlighten the audience about the positive impacts of implementing the technology of blockchain in the food space.

Besides VeChain, the September Summit will be attended by several notable personalities and organizations such as John F. Kerry, Shama Sukul Lee, and Dr. Howard-Yana Shapiro. While Kerry is the 68th Secretary of State, USA, Lee is Sunfed’s Founder as well as CEO. Dr. Shapiro, on the other hand, is the Chief Agricultural Officer at Mars Inc. These personalities would share the latest trends and advancements coming about in their individual fields.

It is vital to note that the Summit, together with Asia-Pacific’s biggest agro-food business event called Global Table, will hold more than 50 conferences this year that would feature over two hundred thought-leaders from around the world, including Australia. Apart from that, more than 150 start-ups, as well as innovators, will be discussing current world problems along with their solutions. Also, over 150 food exporters and producers of Australia will be exhibiting their product offerings at the Global Table Trade Zone.

It also must be noted that this year in May, Seeds & Chips had invited VeChain’s CEO, Mr. Sunny Lu, to take part in the Global Food Innovation Summit that was held in Milan. The panelists at the Summit focussed on blockchain technology’s outlook and the way it is making continuous revolutions in the industry.

The Global Food Innovation Summit was started back in 2015. So far, it has presented many global speakers with considerable influencers who’ve doled out their knowledge on food safety and sustainability issues with the larger community of the world.

The list of the Summit’s previous renowned speakers includes former US President Barack H. Obama, Starbucks’ Executive Chairman Howard Schultz, International Fund for Agricultural Development’s President Gilbert F. Houngbo, and Italy’s former PM and former President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi.
