This is a great opportunity for VeChain and proves the popularity of blockchain is expanding across industries. As a matter of fact, VeChain has been on an adoption spree for the past few weeks. It is also expected to partner with one of the four accounting and consulting company, Deloitte.

VeChain a DLT platform focused on enhancing supply chain management processes. The platform empowers sellers and end-users to determine the quality and authenticity of products being traded. Blockchain technology at large is being adopted in various E-Commerce functions, one of them being logistics or supply chain management. Logistics industry leaders like FedEx, UPS, and DHL have adopted DLT, and results have been quite encouraging.

Similarly, e-commerce giants like Amazon and Alibaba have also implemented blockchain technology in their operations. Exposure to a program as iconic and big as Game of Thrones will definitely be a great learning experience for VeChain. The four custom-designed sneakers will go on display from April 17 to 20, at the Limited Edt Store, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

SBTG is owned by renowned sneaker artist and streetwear designer, Mr. Sabotage (Mark Ong) and his wife Mrs. Sabotage (Sue-Anne Lim). Ong has designed sneakers for famous celebrities including Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, and Mike Shinoda. These shoes will not be for sale but will be awarded via a contest, which ends on April 25.

VeChain’s inclusion for this collaboration is a significant step forward for the blockchain industry, which till now has more or less been limited to enthusiasts only. A recent study by KPMG showed that about 60% of corporations worldwide hadn’t used blockchain yet, though they intend to do it. This shows that there is huge scope for the industry to grow, especially in the entertainment and other piracy-prone businesses.

Game of Thrones, arguably the most popular web series of all time, is heading into its final season, which will go live on HBO from 15th April. Post-release, the competition for the custom sneakers will begin.
