Financial and Regulatory Technology firm Securrency has raised $17.65 million in a Series A funding round held by WisdomTree Investment.
Other participant firms include Japanese financial services giant, Inc., Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), Monex Group, Venture Capital Firms RRE Ventures, Panthera Capital Investments, and Strawberry Creek Ventures.
Headquartered in the United States, Securrency Inc. is a pioneer in financial markets blockchain infrastructure technology. It develops institutional-grade blockchain-based regulatory and financial technology. Securrency offers universal identity and compliance architecture and unique interoperability to facilitate global digital securities transactions and global liquidity. Its patent awaiting compliance “Aware Token” provides multi-jurisdictional regulatory compliance.
WisdomTree Investment also ventures into exchange-traded product sponsorship. It wants to integrate blockchain technology into its system to cater to the larger number of investors to avail them of the benefits of ETFs for improving their user experience.

WisdomTree founder and CEO Jonathan Steinberg commented that after the revival of blockchain technology over the years, they have found the numerous elements that can facilitate investors. They want to explore innovations in the ETF ecosystem and the financial services along with high standards of regulations.
Securrency wants to utilize “Series A funds” to develop its software and platforms. It aims to integrate with the key strategic partner firms and other investors to build a robust functional infrastructure.
