Zilliqa’s Announcement About the Super-Wallet- ‘Moonlet Wallet,’ and Binance’s Support for Zilliqa’s Token Swap

Recently, Zilliqa has announced on Twitter about the Moonlet Wallet. It has sung the wallet’s praises in the tweet. And rightly so, the wallet is indeed packed with a lot of features. On the Medium blog, it was announced that Binance will start supporting Zilliqa.

Coming to ‘Moonlet,’ it is a non-custodial wallet that offers its users complete control on their money by allowing them a complete responsibility of their secret phrase. This kind of freedom does come with a threat of loss of the secret phrase. The wallet is also a blockchain agonist. The blog explains it as-

“Blockchain agnostic means that our browser extension seamlessly integrates functionalities for different blockchain platforms, currently for both Zilliqa and Ethereum.”

Further, the wallet is an HD wallet. ‘HD’ here stands for- Hierarchical Deterministic. What it does is  bring about several addresses on various blockchains with the help of one master seed. The feature-rich crypto wallet is in sync with Chrome browser. The user can operate it through Chrome extensions.

The company has made sure that the security of the users is not compromised. The wallet comes with phishing protection icon that guards the sensitive information against malicious online pop-ups, fake sites, fake wallets, and similar online threats. This icon sits on the browser bar which protects it from any possibility of tampering.

The blog also shone some light on adding new address or account. The user can add several addresses depending on the number of blockchains in use. Another feature of this wallet is that it allows the user to import the private keys from a different wallet. As you add the addresses, they will appear with a Moonlet icon.

On the other hand, when it comes to managing accounts, the users can do a number of things such as sending digital assets by clicking on ‘Send’ icon, receive assets, show the private keys when you want to import on different wallets, discard the unwanted accounts on the moonlet’s dashboard, and review all the send and receive transactions. In the settings section, the user can get details on the disclaimer, open up the secret phrase, look at the wallet’s version, and also try their hands on the test-net mode.

When it comes to future plans, the company is not leaving any stones unturned. The future plans include developing the user experience further. Things such as enhancing the readability and improving on recovery system are few aims. The company feels that in order to get mass adoption, it is a necessity to solve the issues that the users are experiencing. The aim is to offer the user a very easy to use platform that offers great security.
