Binance to Airdrop up to $1M in BNB to Vietnam Users Affected by Typhoon

Binance Charity will airdrop up to $1M in BNB to registered Binance users in Vietnam that were identified as living in the areas affected by Typhoon Yagi.

Affected users will be identified on the basis of their POA (proof-of-address) information. For the airdrop to be valid, they should be staying in one of the 25 cities in Northern Vietnam that has been impacted by the Typhoon.

As per the official statement, “Users who have completed POA before September 10, 2024, in these 25 cities will receive $50 worth of BNB directly to their Binance accounts.”

Moreover, if affected users might not have completed their POA by the aforementioned date, Binance Charity will airdrop $20 worth of BNB to existing users in the region who have registered before Sept 10, 2024, and will have completed the POA from Sept 10, 2024, to Sept 30, 2024 (both dates inclusive).”

The announcement informs that the first batch of donations will be credited to the beneficiaries’ accounts starting from Sept 15, 2024.

Binance CEO Richard Teng said: “We’d like to send our sincere condolences to those who are impacted by the devastating typhoon Yagi in Vietnam. We hope that our efforts can bring some relief to those affected. We stand in solidarity with the community members and hope the community can recover from this disaster soon.”
