South Korea’s leading cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb is listing Berachain (BERA) in its Korean Won market, as the project’s mainnet launches today.

According to the announcement,  Berachain trading on Bithumb will begin at 10:00 PM on February 6, 2025. Deposits and withdrawals will also start two hours earlier at 8:00 PM. The exchange will only support transactions through the Berachain network, meaning deposits from other networks will not be accepted. The base price and the required number of deposit confirmations have yet to be determined.

For a stable trading environment, Bithumb will impose temporary restrictions when trading begins. As per the official statement, for the first five minutes, buying orders will not be allowed. Selling orders will also be restricted if the price falls below -10% or rises above +100% of the standard price during this period. Additionally, automated orders such as stop-loss or take-profit will only be activated after the first trade occurs.

Berachain, which is a layer 1 blockchain, had its mainnet as well as TGE launched today. According to the project’s tokenomics, the total supply of BERA at its Genesis, is 500,000,000 BERA. Furthermore, Berachain’s token distribution is divided into three main categories:

  1. Core Contributors (16.8%) – 84M tokens allocated to Big Bera Labs’ advisors and core contributors.
  2. Investors (34.3%) – 171.5M tokens distributed to Seed, Series A, and Series B investors.
  3. Community Allocations (48.9%) – 244.5M tokens allocated across:
    a. Airdrop (15.8%) – 79M tokens for testnet users, NFT holders, ecosystem participants, etc.
    b. Future Community Initiatives (13.1%) – 65.5M tokens for incentives, grants, and developer programs.
    c. Ecosystem & R&D (20%) – 100M tokens for ecosystem growth, R&D, and infrastructure development.
