Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has previewed a new prediction market platform called Predict.Fun on BNB Chain. The announcement comes amidst CZ’s debate with economist Peter Schiff at Binance Blockchain Week 2025.
CZ shared the platform on X, stating that Predict.Fun offers a unique feature where prediction funds generate yield rather than sitting idle. He disclosed that the founder is a former Binance employee from several years ago.
YZiLabs incubated and invested in the project. CZ clarified that his post does not constitute an endorsement of the platform.

Predict.Fun aims for capital efficiency on BNB Chain
YZiLabs congratulated Predict.Fun and the EASY Residency S2 cohort on graduating from the program. The platform aims to become one of the most liquid on-chain prediction markets built on BNB Chain.
The project is designed for greater capital efficiency through a DeFi-native architecture. This approach allows users to earn returns on funds committed to predictions instead of locking capital without generating income.
YZi Labs stated it will continue supporting builders across BNB and the broader ecosystem. The lab focuses on incubating projects that build on the BNB Chain infrastructure.
Binance founder prepares for Peter Schiff debate
CZ posted about feeling nervous ahead of his debate with Peter Schiff scheduled for December 4. “Great day 1. Feeling a little nervous debating @PeterSchiff tmr,” CZ stated on X.

Bitcoin have so many advantages over gold. It should be such an easy debate. Hope I don't fumble this. 🤣 https://t.co/b1TGuUGk5V

CZ acknowledged that Bitcoin has many advantages over gold and the debate should be straightforward. “Bitcoin have so many advantages over gold. It should be such an easy debate. Hope I don’t fumble this,” he added.
The debate is taking place at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai during Binance Blockchain Week 2025.
Debate emerges from social media exchange
The debate originated from a months-long exchange between CZ and Schiff on X. In October 2025, Schiff announced plans to launch a tokenized gold product called Tgold.
The product would allow users to purchase physical gold through a blockchain platform and transfer ownership through a neobank system. Schiff positioned tokenized gold as superior to Bitcoin, arguing it could deliver “all the things that Bitcoin promises but can never do.”
CZ responded to Schiff’s tokenized gold initiative, criticizing it as a “trust me bro” token. The Binance founder stated that tokenized gold is not true “on-chain” gold but a token representing a third party’s promise to deliver physical metal.
CZ pointed out vulnerabilities in the system. The approach relies on institutional trust through potential management changes, geopolitical conflicts, wars, and other external factors that could compromise gold holdings.
Presidential pardon leads to debate confirmation
After receiving a presidential pardon from Donald Trump in October 2025 for legal issues related to his time leading Binance, Schiff congratulated CZ and proposed a formal debate. CZ accepted the proposal.
The two agreed that Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai would be the ideal venue for the confrontation. The debate focuses on a central question: which asset better fulfills the three fundamental functions of money.
These functions include medium of exchange, unit of account, and store of value. The discussion pits Bitcoin maximalism against gold maximalism.
The debate also frames the digital future versus the established financial system. CZ’s position supports Bitcoin’s advantages in portability, divisibility, and verifiability compared to physical gold.
