Coinbase Introduces Project to Educate Users While Earning Crypto

Coinbase, a massive crypto exchange platform which does not require any introduction, actually, has rolled out a learning project named “Coinbase Earn.” The initiative will enable users to learn more about crypto assets and get rewarded with tokens.

It is observed that both the communities, crypto investors and others lack the knowledge and details regarding the digital asset market. Majority investors go through the route of what’s in trend or follow the advice given on social media groups like Telegram.

The exchange giant stated, “The idea is for users to understand more about an asset’s utility and its underlying technology while getting a bit of the asset to try out.”

Currently, Coinbase Earn operates on invite-only mode, having primary aim to cover one digital asset, the ERC-20 token 0x (ZRX). The recent announcement of ‘Coinbase Earn’ is part of the exchange’s 12 Days of Consecutive Announcement.

Moreover, Before launching the learning product, the exchange conducted research. On which Coinbase noted, “[O]ne of the biggest barriers preventing people from exploring a new digital asset was a lack of knowledge about that asset. Many of the people we surveyed expressed a strong desire to begin learning about new and different crypto assets beyond Bitcoin, but didn’t know where to begin.”

As mentioned earlier, Coinbase Earn has launched in an invite-only mode. But Even if you didn’t get an invite, you can still see the lessons and learn more about the cryptocurrency. In the announcement, the firm also indicates the difference between Mining and buying cryptos.

The announcement says, “Traditionally, the two ways people have obtained cryptocurrency are through mining or buying. Mining cryptocurrency typically requires technical knowledge and high upfront costs, while buying cryptocurrency can require disposable income to exchange for cryptocurrencies.” Right now, the Coinbase earn features three beginner level short video lessons for users to complete which will take six minutes in total.

Earlier this week, the exchange also launched a new feature dubbed ‘Coinbase Convert’. It is designed to allow retail traders to make crypto to crypto conversions. According to Coinbase, it is cheaper and faster than selling a digital asset to buy another.
