ProBit announces support for Bitcoin cash upgrade and hard fork
Bitcoin Cash Node v27.0.0 upgrade and hard fork are scheduled for May 15, 2024. ProBit has come forward, announcing that it will support both processes for Bitcoin Cash. The only important date to note is May 15, 2024, when deposits and withdrawals of BCH will be suspended until further notice.
BCH deposit and withdrawal function will be unavailable on May 15, 2024, from 14:30
(UTC+5:30), till an official notice from authorized channel sources. Bitcoin Cash hard fork will happen on the same date but three hours later. Deposit and withdrawal for BCH will resume only after the upgrade process has been concluded and the network is tested stable for operations. It is recommended not to entertain information from unauthorized sources, for only ProBit will announce the resumption of its services.
BCH/USDT trade will happen as usual during the upgrade and hard fork. The announcement has not done any good to the token, for it has plummeted by 4.70% in the last 24 hours. BCH is now listed at $407.57. While it has sustained the $400+ milestone, the drop is concerning since it takes away the increase to $450 by the end of this year.
That is still possible, provided all factors align favorably for Bitcoin Cash. Its current listed value is slightly up by 0.80% and massively up by 54.06% in the last 7 and 30 days, respectively.
